The Role: WKC is offering an opportunity for the role of an Environmental Engineer/Scientist, with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in environmental consultancy. The position is based in Dubai, UAE, focusing on supporting WKC’s EIA and environmental permitting services.

Responsibilities:

1. Preparation of commercial and technical proposals under the guidance of your line manager.
2. Writing EIA reports for projects located in the UAE, including specialist inputs such as marine ecological and waste impact assessments.
3. Preparation of Environmental Management Plans (e.g., CEMP and OEMP).
4. Supporting your line manager with EIA reports and project management tasks.
5. Interpreting marine ecological/environmental baseline survey reports and technical modelling studies for input into EIA reports.

Candidate Requirements:

1. At least 1-2 years of experience in environmental consultancy with involvement in EIA development.
2. Degree or diploma in environmental engineering, environmental science, ecology, or related disciplines.
3. Excellent report writing skills for technical reports.
4. Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
5. Familiarity with UAE (Federal, Abu Dhabi, Dubai) environmental regulations.
6. Ability to interface effectively with clients.
7. Attention to detail and meticulous organizational skills.
8. Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
9. UAE driving license (if residing in the UAE).
10. Preferred: Residing in the UAE.
11. Preferred: Previous experience with marine ecology discipline.
12. Preferred: Previous experience with flood management.
