Job description

Customer Service
  • Assist in ensuring that department employees deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times.
  • Ensure that employees also provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.
  • Handle all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries courteously and efficiently, following through to ensure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
  • Maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
Financial
  • Maximize employee productivity through multi-skilling, multi-tasking, and flexible scheduling to meet financial goals and guest expectations.
  • Focus on improving productivity levels and managing utility and payroll costs prudently, ensuring optimal deployment and energy efficiency of equipment.
  • Embrace new technology and equipment to improve productivity and streamline work processes.
  • Supervise lifeguard operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standards.
  • Conduct regular audits of lifeguard performance and safety procedures.
  • Organize and conduct training sessions for lifeguards to maintain high safety and service standards.
  • Manage lifeguard rotations and schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Monitor lifeguard welfare, providing support and addressing concerns.
  • Ensure lifeguards are prepared to respond to emergencies and provide excellent guest service.
  • Oversee the distribution, collection, and storage of tubes and ensure they are in good condition, conducting repairs as necessary.
  • Maintain an inventory of tubes and repair supplies.
  • Manage the distribution, collection, and storage of life jackets, ensuring they are clean, in good condition, and properly fitted.
  • Maintain an inventory of life jackets and ensure adequate supply at all times.
Personnel
  • Supervise department employees, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Oversee punctuality and appearance, ensuring proper uniforms and high standards of personal hygiene.
  • Develop employee skills through training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Assist in employee training to ensure efficiency.
  • Supervise service standards as outlined in the Departmental Operations Manual.
  • Support the implementation of The People Brand, demonstrating and reinforcing park values and culture.
  • Ensure employees understand and adhere to rules, regulations, and safety protocols.
Other Duties
  • Adhere to the Rules & Regulations in the Employees Handbook and park policies on Fire, Hygiene, Health, and Safety.
  • Report punctually in proper uniform with a nametag.
  • Maintain high personal appearance and hygiene standards.
  • Foster good relationships with staff across departments.
  • Attend all relevant staff and training meetings.
  • Support departmental trainers as needed.
  • Undertake tasks assigned by the Aquatics Operations Assistant Manager.
  • Respond to departmental changes as required.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and exercise self-control.
  • Understand the Department Operations Manual and policies thoroughly.
Occasional Duties
  • Assist with inventory of operating equipment quarterly, bi-yearly, and yearly.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
  • At least 1 year of experience using the Ellis & Associates Program or similar, including front-line lifeguard experience and supervision of lifeguards.
  • Operational experience overseeing lifeguard teams of 50+ in a high-volume waterpark, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
  • Practical experience in waterpark operations, including Training, Operations, and Risk Management.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
