Job description

Job Responsibilities

Develop initial baseline schedules with minimal project information, requiring experience in hospitality/mixed-use development projects.

Assist in preparing and managing overview and strategic programmes, including design, procurement, and construction schedules, along with supporting documentation.

Include all project stages from initiation to completion in the baseline and identify stage gates accordingly.

Coordinate and manage the development of master planning, engineering, procurement, and construction schedules, along with related documentation.

Establish and agree on project reporting procedures; prepare and present monthly project progress reports. Develop project and programme dashboard templates for use across the programme by designers and contractors.

Review schedules and related documents from designers and contractors, including monthly reports, to ensure compliance with project objectives.

Analyze schedule trends to identify issues and recommend corrective actions; monitor actual progress against planned progress.

Monitor engineering design progress, procurement of materials and equipment, and construction and commissioning status.

Prepare progress monitoring tools using earned value management; track progress on and off-site, identify deviations, and suggest corrective measures.

Work closely with the Project Controls Manager and team to ensure programme feasibility, compliance with the Project Master Plan, and contractual obligations.

Interface daily with designers, PMCs, main contractors, subcontractors, and internal management.

Conduct studies on scheduling, manpower, cash flow, and material flow as needed.

Attend offsite meetings as requested by the client.

Review schedules for delays in key dates and assist in defending or approving claims for time extensions or schedule changes.

Ensure all Planning Engineers adhere to high professional standards and maintain current information.

Establish and maintain consistent administrative procedures across the project.

Participate with the project management team to achieve project deliverables.

Involve key stakeholders and obtain necessary approvals for the baseline.

Identify and report issues affecting progress and propose schedule performance improvements.

Develop and standardize scheduling, reporting procedures, tools, templates, and instructions across the programme.

Monitor submittal timings against schedule requirements and develop programme KPIs.

Requirements

Degree in construction management and/or civil engineering, with membership or chartership from a professional construction body preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience, with a proven track record on large-scale projects.
