The Senior Director QHSES is the Functional leader for Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security (QHSES). They act as a subject matter expert in QHSES matters for the organization and lead the development and implementation of the QHSES Strategy, management system, processes, tools, and performance measurement across Business Lines and Global Operations.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Degree in QHSES-related field from an accredited University
15+ years of QHSES experience within the energy industry
Member of Professional QHSES Institute
Extensive functional, business, industry, and leadership expertise
Hold and maintain industry and professional certifications within the QHSES field
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Management Systems and MS Office Applications
Global/International QHSES leadership experience
Provide industry benchmarking and internal/external performance trend analysis
Represent McDermott QHSES at client/peer meetings, industry organizations, and international conferences
Serves as the QHSES SME to the QHSES Leadership Council
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Liaise with Executive Leaders, Operations, Functional Managers, Business Line QHSES Functional Directors, Clients, and Regulatory Agencies
Drive QHSES strategic critical thinking and action within the Business Lines and Global Operations
Lead the development and implementation of QHSES strategy, management system, processes, tools, and performance measurement across Business Lines and Global Operations
Ensure QHSES strategies are communicated effectively and understood across the organization
Support the development and implementation of the tools and processes required to support the QHSES function
Measure and continuously improve the effectiveness of the QHSES function and processes
Responsible for QHSES functional budget
Development and maintenance of Global QHSES management systems, compliance with ISO Certifications (Global function responsibility)
Monitor the effectiveness and implementation of the QHSES Management and data management systems
Prepare annual QHSES program and activity plans
Maintain adequate levels of competent QHSES personnel and support Business Line and Global Operations QHSES leadership
Perform QHSES Assurance activities to ensure effective implementation of processes across the organization
Ensure effective tracking and sharing of QHSES lessons learned and best practices to drive improvement
Support the development, measurement, and analysis of QHSES statistics, KPIs, and metrics
Inform Business Line/Global Operations of any actionable security threat alerts
