Job Description

  1. Greet arriving guests and retrieve their luggage.
  2. Escort guests to their rooms, explain the room facilities, and promote the hotel’s outlets (restaurant, bar, spa).
  3. Deliver luggage, messages, faxes, packages, etc., and handle other guest requests to ensure their comfort.
  4. Transport departing guests’ luggage from the room to the lobby, verifying that all luggage has been accounted for.
  5. Ensure luggage is stored safely according to prescribed procedures.
  6. Keep the luggage storage area clean and tidy at all times.
  7. Inform guests about the hotel, its services, the city, and local happenings with knowledgeable and friendly communication.
  8. Be aware of ongoing hotel functions and events.
  9. Provide gracious, attentive, and friendly service to all guests.

Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  2. One to two years of experience in a public contact role, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle hotel.
  3. Gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor.
  4. Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and pay high attention to detail.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
