Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, tax, and financial reporting.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Coordinate audits with internal and external parties, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international tax laws.
• Monitor accounting data and generate financial reports as needed.
• Manage and mentor the accounting team, promoting professional growth and performance.
• Oversee upgrades or implementations of financial systems.
• Communicate with external partners such as auditors, banks, and tax consultants.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).
• CPA, CMA, or similar certification required.
• At least 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, tax laws, and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; ERP experience is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in specific industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, or technology.
• Knowledge of international financial operations and consolidation.
