Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, tax, and financial reporting.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Coordinate audits with internal and external parties, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international tax laws.
- Monitor accounting data and generate financial reports as needed.
- Manage and mentor the accounting team, promoting professional growth and performance.
- Oversee upgrades or implementations of financial systems.
- Communicate with external partners such as auditors, banks, and tax consultants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).
- CPA, CMA, or similar certification required.
- At least 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, tax laws, and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; ERP experience is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in specific industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, or technology.
- Knowledge of international financial operations and consolidation.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance (if applicable).
