Job description

Job Purpose

A Workshop Technician will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, calibration tasks, and repairs on aircraft components, tools, and equipment in accordance with company procedures and regulations. The job holder works as part of a team under the guidance of an assigned supervisor or engineer within the appropriate trade or cross-trade disciplines for which they have been trained.

In This Role, You Will
  1. Carry out routine servicing, calibration, maintenance, modification, and approved repairs on components and tools, complying with manufacturers' procedures and safety protocols.
  2. Complete assigned maintenance tasks, understanding relevant documentation such as Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), Standard Practice Manual (SPM), and Quality Manual ISO/IEC 17025.
  3. Assist supervisors and engineers in troubleshooting, defect rectification, and modifications as per job instructions.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and excellent housekeeping at work locations, promote safety culture, and ensure work areas are free of FOD. Regularly audit and maintain toolboxes and workspaces.
  5. Attend promptly to tasks to reduce turnaround time and operational delays. Communicate defects and issues clearly during shift handovers.
  6. Perform testing, verification, servicing, and support tasks during overhaul, repair, refurbishment, inspection, and calibration processes as per workshop procedures.
  7. Participate in Rapid Response Unit (RRU)/AOG team activities during aircraft incidents and recoveries.
Qualifications & Experience

To qualify, candidates should have:

  • A graduate (12+2), apprenticeship, or equivalent training with a reputable airline or approved aircraft maintenance organization, or an Engineering Aircraft Maintenance License with at least 5 years of experience in engineering or related fields.
