Job description

We invite you to join Howden Middle East, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), as the Regional Sales Manager based in Egypt. You will be responsible for delivering profitable growth by providing our customers with valued solutions and support. Your responsibilities include managing Howden business in the defined territory/market, developing relevant business and sales plans aligned with Howden's strategic initiatives (DDA, LTSA, cross-selling, and upselling), managing budgets, product, and market forecasts, supporting key customers, and developing new ones. You will provide insights into customer and market opportunities, data, competitive intelligence, and trends. You will develop, lead, and execute Howden's external sales strategy, aiming to be more customer-focused, innovative, proactive, and responsive. Building a collaborative network between Howden MEA and main market players (end users, EPCs, local service centers, distributors, and agents) will be crucial, utilizing relationships, marketplace knowledge, and Howden’s products and services. The goal is to grow Howden, A Chart Industries company, business in the assigned territory across all sectors, with a focus on PCOG, Steel, Power, and Cement.

What Will You Do?
  1. Country Strategic Sales and Growth plan: Assist in developing strategies to increase business in the assigned territory and product lines.
  2. Business Development: Establish, maintain, and manage relationships with end users, customers, EPCs, Howden agents, and trading houses to enhance brand recognition.
  3. Sales and funnel management: Coordinate customer RFQs, ensuring timely and accurate proposals. Manage the sales funnel and convert proposals into orders.
  4. Hand-over to order/contract team: Ensure proper contract documentation for handover to relevant teams.
  5. Sales reporting and CRM: Prepare reports on business activities and update opportunity statuses in CRM systems.
  6. Training and support: Support training of local/agent personnel and deliver customer seminars to maintain strong relationships.
  7. EHS and Company policies: Comply with all company policies, values, procedures, and legal requirements.
  8. Agent and distributor management: Maintain close relationships with agents/distributors and customers to drive business growth.
Your Experience Should Be...
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a technical degree with rotating equipment experience.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, product management, or field service in rotating machinery.
  • Deep understanding of the Egypt market and customer base.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with customers, reps, and internal teams.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, ERP, Salesforce, and internet navigation.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic (a significant advantage).
  • Experience managing distribution and sales channels.
  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and customer issue resolution skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven collaboration ability.

Your physical work environment will involve traveling within Egypt.
