Job description

Currie & Brown are seeking a Project Director with Data Centre experience to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The role involves directing and managing the delivery of large, complex Data Centre projects, maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders, and providing leadership to project teams.

Responsibilities :

1. Deliver large-scale, complex projects successfully.
2. Define project scope and oversee delivery.
3. Lead a sizable team, set objectives, manage performance, and ensure skill development.
4. Establish project delivery plans, controls, and governance mechanisms.
5. Manage multiple consultants and contractors effectively.
6. Develop and track budgets using established financial systems, highlighting variances.
7. Apply industry best practices to project processes, providing recommendations for improvements.
8. Communicate project risks and issues to senior management with proposed mitigations.
9. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to keep them informed of progress and expectations.
10. Analyze complex data to assess impact on project delivery and advise accordingly.
11. Act as a technical expert, offering strategic advice to support project success.
12. Ensure compliance with contractual delivery parameters and scope of service.
13. Develop and manage team leaders.
14. Translate business objectives into operational financial plans, ensuring profit and budget targets are met.
15. Focus on talent development and succession planning.
16. Contribute to Currie & Brown’s vision within assigned projects.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Project management professional certification or accreditation.
• Previous experience leading large Data Centre projects.
• Proven ability to manage, motivate, and lead large teams.
• Strong pre-contract and post-contract experience.
• Experience managing stakeholders at the executive level.
