Junior Accountant

The Junior Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities and other related financial activities for Noble Panacea, a new high-end luxury skin care brand.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger and accounting system.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Maintain, monitor, and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Maintain and reconcile sales tax liabilities.
  • Assist with financial reporting and budgets, and any ad-hoc reporting as needed.
  • Prepare financial statements, general ledger accounts and other financial reports to assist in tax return preparations, tax filings and external financial audits.
  • Resolve any discrepancies or irregularities found in records, statements, or documented transactions.
  • Respond to information requests and provide financial reports to various departments on a timely basis.
  • Ensure all financial records and statements are in line with laws, regulations, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Identify and help implement process improvement opportunities as they relate to the Accounting and Finance groups.
  • Assist with on-going projects and additional duties as assigned by Administration.
  • Support multiple business units across several locations.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
  • At least one year of related accounting experience required.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with high analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to correctly prepare tax reports.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of spreadsheets.
  • Experience with SAP Business One accounting software is a plus.
  • Experience with e-commerce support platforms such as Magento, Authorize.net and Avalara is a plus.
  • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Strong work ethic, high level of integrity, confidentiality and trustworthiness.
  • Team player.
