Job Purpose
The Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in driving the growth of RAK ICC by establishing and maintaining a strong pipeline of agents and expanding the organization's territorial presence. This role involves devising, endorsing, and achieving strategic goals for the Business Development department, including formulating and executing action plans for systemic improvements. The Manager also leads and mentors the business development team, ensuring they are well-equipped and motivated to meet objectives across all assigned regions.
Functional Accountabilities
- Manage and nurture long-term relationships with registered agents and key stakeholders, promoting RAK ICC's products and services through a consultative approach.
- Build and sustain a network and pipeline of targeted clients in collaboration with marketing, organizing promotional events to meet business development goals.
- Develop and train registered agents to ensure high-quality service and client satisfaction.
- Identify new business opportunities and industry market trends.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing partners and industry contacts.
- Monitor market trends and demands, aligning product and service innovations with agent needs and global standards.
- Stay informed about competitors and market opportunities to strategically position RAK ICC.
- Build professional relationships with partners and potential agents to gather feedback for product and customer experience improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions for clients.
- Lead and participate in industry events such as exhibitions, conferences, and workshops to stay updated and promote RAK ICC.
- Use these platforms for networking, knowledge sharing, and showcasing RAK ICC's contributions.
- Provide regular reports on business development activities, offering insights to refine strategies and explore new approaches.
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or related fields.
- Relevant certifications like CBDP, PMP, or other sales and marketing credentials are advantageous.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or related fields within the industry or similar sectors.
- Strong negotiation and excellent communication skills.
- Strategic planning and financial acumen.
- Market analysis skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software, specifically Salesforce.
- Experience in the company incorporation field is preferred.
