Job description

We are working with a high-performing, UAE-based family office to help them hire a Finance/Fund Director. This is a newly created, high-impact leadership role that will work closely with both the CFO and CIO of the hedge fund.

The role joins the firm at an exciting point in its growth journey, with a clear mandate to drive automation, enhance scalability, and improve reporting and communication across the platform. While the firm is currently unregulated, it voluntarily adopts institutional best practices. The finance team is split into verticals, this role will be supported by junior team members, whilst partnering with the wider business and a network of external stakeholders. This position will act as a key business partner across internal functions including legal, risk, tax, and performance, and will oversee the full trade lifecycle, fund accounting, settlements, and reconciliations across global equities, derivatives, and FX. A key focus will also be the implementation of systems to streamline workflows, add data visualization tools, and enhance performance reporting.

This opportunity is well suited to a finance leader with a blend of institutional depth and an entrepreneurial mindset. Ideal candidates will bring 15+ years experience in hedge fund or family office environments, with a deep understanding of trade lifecycle, portfolio analytics, and vendor management across public markets. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to interface directly with investment professionals.

To secure the right individual, the firm is prepared to offer a significant compensation package, as well as a relocation package. The package includes full family medical cover, annual return flights for the employee and dependents, and an education allowance for those relocating. The firm boasts an exceptionally collaborative culture, with high-calibre individuals, low turnover, and a strong emphasis on humility and performance.
