Cigna Insurance Middle East, a leading health insurer, is looking to appoint an Actuarial Senior Analyst based in Dubai. The successful candidate will work closely with the Middle East and Africa actuarial team and support initiatives across the local UAE health insurance market and the broader Middle East and Africa regions. The role involves collaboration with Data & Analytics, Underwriting, and Product Development teams to develop insights that inform business decisions. This position requires detailed analysis, independent judgment, discretion, and the ability to support various actuarial investigations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Data processing, reconciliations, and analytics.
  2. Actuarial pricing for the Middle East and Africa region, including experience studies, setting book rates and pricing assumptions, and methodology updates.
  3. Supporting analytics related to medical cost drivers and trends to aid business decisions.
  4. Developing dashboards and reports to enhance the speed and quality of actuarial analysis and reporting.
  5. Developing, testing, and maintaining pricing and underwriting tools.
  6. Supporting the monthly financial close, including reserving processes, periodic review of key reserve assumptions, and communicating drivers of financial results relative to forecasts.
  7. Assisting with regulatory submissions.
  8. Collaborating closely with Data & Analytics, Underwriting, and Finance teams.

Personal Profile

  1. An undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Good progress towards Associate credentials with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or the Society of Actuaries.
  3. A commitment to pursuing a Fellowship qualification.
  4. At least four years of actuarial experience in the Middle East, preferably in health insurance.
  5. Self-motivated and results-driven.
  6. Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  7. Proficiency in MS Office and data analytics tools such as R, SQL, Alteryx, or equivalent.
  8. Excellent verbal and written English skills.
