Job Description

The Finance Assistant plays a key role in supporting daily financial operations and maintaining accurate financial records for the organization. This position involves working closely with the finance team to ensure smooth handling of accounts, timely payments, and proper documentation. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working within deadlines. They will help in monitoring expenses, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist in processing invoices, expense claims, and vendor payments in line with company policies.
  2. Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of financial transactions, including filing and documentation.
  3. Help reconcile bank statements and assist in tracking daily cash flow and petty cash management.
  4. Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as required.
  5. Work with auditors and provide requested documentation during audits or internal reviews.
  6. Assist in maintaining the general ledger and help ensure all entries are correctly coded.
  7. Follow up with departments and vendors to resolve discrepancies or issues related to finance.
  8. Contribute to improving financial procedures and implementing more efficient processes.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  2. 1–2 years of experience in a finance or accounts support role.
  3. Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
  4. Familiarity with MS Excel and financial software such as QuickBooks or similar.
  5. Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  6. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Clear communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
