Job description

In this role you will support in the design, development, and implementation of the budgeting and forecasting element of the new EPM system that is planned. Take the lead in ensuring all the finance models, tables, and modules, reporting templates are structured and set up correctly and partner closely with IT and the implementation partner leveraging best practise to drive consistency and across the new system.

In this role you will :

  • Participate in the EPM design workshops to support in ensuring that all budgeting and monthly forecasting requirements are considered and gathered and included in the design.
  • Ensure a full “As is” process map and data integration model is completed for the current application and support in the “to be” process maps for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Take responsibility for all the models, calculations, and tables within the new tool to ensure that all the requirements are met and tested and ensure there is linkages between data elements across the finance organization and no duplications are built.
  • Assist in the collection, testing and signoff of all data related modules and data with the remaining project team.
  • Assist in bringing together all procedures and policies documentation across finance from all other stakeholders for the EPM tool.
  • Prepare weekly documentation and status update for steering, executive and Senior Leadership Team committees.
  • Track and build action plans against all opportunities and risk identified by finance stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements :

  • Degree or equivalent, plus relevant professional accreditation i.e. Qualified Accountant.
  • Lean Six Sigma qualification would be desirable.
  • 5+ years’ experience within a Finance department within medium or large organisations.
  • Knowledge of FP&A processes – budgeting, planning, and forecasting and the preparation of management reporting material.
  • The ability to partner with the business and a range of stakeholders and be able provide solutions and guidance on best FP&A practices.
  • Experience in supporting the implementation of complex and innovative finance solutions which require a significant change management program.
  • Ability to problem solve with good time management and people skills.
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and BI would be advantageous.
