Overview
As we continue to expand and evolve, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Learning and Development (L&D) Manager to join our team and lead our efforts in employee development and organizational growth. The L&D Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs that enhance employee skills, support career development, and align with organizational goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for fostering a learning culture.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute learning strategies and programs that align to business objectives.
- Evaluate individual and organizational development needs
- Implement various learning methods across the region such as coaching, job-shadowing, and online training.
- Design, source and deliver training programs using a variety of learning platforms including e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings.
- Structure and regularly evaluate competency framework.
- Provide support through promotion rounds, objective settings and appraisals
- Produce training materials, content and resources.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the training programs including scheduling, communication, logistics and vendor management.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed.
- Assess the success of employee development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities.
- Plan, execute and evaluate mentorship programs across multiple business lines
- Prepare and present reports on training outcomes, trends, and recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure training programs comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Stay current with L&D trends and best practices to continuously enhance program offerings.
- Help managers develop their team members through career pathing.
- Support with succession planning strategies.
- Track budgets and negotiate contracts for L&D programs.
- Hire and oversee other training and L&D Specialists as required.
- Develop strong relationships with service line leaders, global L&D partners, consultants and trainers.
- Other tasks as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in learning and development related role with demonstrated experience in needs assessments, program design and curriculum development.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and e-learning platforms and practices.
- Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods.
- Experience in project management and budgeting.
- Ability to collaborate with various global stakeholders and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of regional business culture and regulations.
- The ability to understand and make use of computers and information technology
- Software: Microsoft Office programs to a proficient level.
- Language skills: Fluency in English, written and verbal. Fluency in Arabic or other languages is advantageous.
- Travel: Flexible attitude towards travelling.
