Job description

Customer Service

  • Assist in ensuring that department employees deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times.
  • Ensure that employees also provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.
  • Handle all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries courteously and efficiently, following through to ensure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
  • Maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.

Financial

  • Maximize employee productivity through multi-skilling, multi-tasking, and flexible scheduling to meet financial goals and guest expectations.
  • Focus on improving productivity and managing utility/payroll costs within guidelines, ensuring optimal deployment and energy efficiency of equipment.
  • Embrace new technology and equipment to improve productivity and streamline work processes.
  • Supervise lifeguard operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standards.
  • Conduct regular audits of lifeguard performance and safety procedures.
  • Organize and conduct training sessions for lifeguards to maintain high safety and service standards.
  • Manage lifeguard rotations and schedules for adequate coverage.
  • Monitor lifeguard welfare, providing support and addressing concerns.
  • Ensure lifeguards are prepared to respond to emergencies and provide excellent guest service.
  • Oversee the distribution, collection, and storage of tubes and life jackets, ensuring they are in good condition and properly maintained.

Personnel

  • Supervise department employees, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and laws.
  • Oversee punctuality, appearance, and hygiene standards, including uniform compliance.
  • Develop employee skills through training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Assist in employee training to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Supervise staff to maintain service standards as per the Departmental Operations Manual.
  • Support the implementation of The People Brand, reinforcing the park's values and culture.
  • Ensure adherence to employee rules, safety, and security regulations.

Other Duties

  • Adhere to Rules & Regulations in the Employees Handbook and park policies on Fire, Hygiene, Health, and Safety.
  • Report punctually, wearing the correct uniform and nametag.
  • Maintain personal appearance and hygiene standards.
  • Foster good relationships with staff across departments.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and related activities.
  • Support departmental trainers and undertake secondary duties as assigned.
  • Respond flexibly to departmental changes and project a positive attitude.
  • Understand departmental policies and procedures thoroughly.

Occasional Duties

  • Assist with inventory of operating equipment quarterly, bi-yearly, and yearly.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.

Qualifications include 2+ years of experience with the Ellis & Associates Program or similar, including frontline lifeguard and supervisory roles; operational experience in waterpark management, preferably in the UAE or GCC; proficiency in English; and skills in Microsoft Office applications, including data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.
