As the Investment Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving investment decisions across our corporate portfolio. You will lead transaction execution, conduct detailed valuation and due diligence, and partner with business-unit leaders to shape growth strategies. This is a high-impact role requiring a balance of technical rigor, strategic insight, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment Strategy & Analysis: Develop and refine the group-wide investment strategy, identifying target sectors and geographies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Valuation & Financial Modeling: Build and maintain complex financial models to value potential acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
- M&A Execution: Lead end-to-end M&A processes, including target screening, due diligence coordination (financial, legal, commercial), negotiation, and transaction closing.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor portfolio company performance, conduct regular valuation updates, and recommend value-enhancement initiatives or exit strategies.
- Due Diligence Coordination: Manage cross-functional due diligence teams, liaise with external advisors (lawyers, auditors, consultants), and ensure timely and accurate delivery of diligence findings.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Present investment theses, transaction updates, and performance reports to executive leadership, board committees, and external investors.
- Risk & Compliance: Assess and mitigate financial, operational, and regulatory risks related to investment activities; ensure compliance with internal policies and UAE regulations.
- Market & Industry Research: Stay abreast of market trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes impacting investment opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Certifications: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is required.
- Experience: Minimum 7–10 years of investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or management consulting experience, including significant exposure to M&A and valuation.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiar with ERP / BI tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tableau).
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities; strong communication and presentation skills; proven stakeholder management.
- Language: Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
Desired Skills
- Prior experience within a diversified conglomerate or private equity environment in the GCC.
- Understanding of Sharia-compliant financial structures.
- Track record of leading cross-border transactions.
