Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Roll out, coordinate, and ensure proper implementation of the Energy Management Organization throughout the company. This includes conducting periodic meetings of all energy teams and committees at corporate and site levels. Establish and maintain the Company Energy Management System (EnMS) in accordance with ADNOC and ISO50001 standards to achieve and sustain ISO50001 certification, including preparing all necessary policies, manuals, procedures, and guidelines.
  2. Develop an energy data reporting system to periodically assess the energy performance of operational assets and facilities. Coordinate with local energy teams to conduct Energy Reviews (ERs), develop energy baselines (EBs), identify Significant Energy Uses (SEUs), establish energy performance indicators (EnPIs), and set benchmarks. Collaborate with site operational teams and asset representatives to collect, verify, and report energy data regularly.
  3. Identify achievable energy performance improvement actions (EPIAs) with asset energy teams, set objectives and targets, and develop detailed action plans. Monitor the implementation progress, stay updated on new technologies and best practices, and assess the feasibility of applying energy performance best practices and BATs at existing assets and new projects.
  4. Conduct internal EnMS audits across all company levels to monitor system performance and drive continual improvement. Assist in appointing external auditors and support sites during external audits for certification and shareholder reviews.
  5. Prepare scope of work for energy management studies, evaluate technical bids for consultants, manage and review studies, ensuring compliance with company standards, specifications, and international norms. Support in-house energy optimization studies and oversee external consultants’ work.
  6. Support engineering and project teams throughout all project phases to ensure energy-efficient design and energy management considerations are integrated into project deliverables.
  7. Coordinate procurement and supplier selection processes to ensure energy efficiency requirements are met. Share best practices with energy focal points across OPCOs.
  8. Report the company’s energy performance to the ADNOC Energy team as per schedule and format, and participate in ADNOC’s energy management activities, including committees, workshops, and audits.
  9. Execute assigned tasks related to energy management and provide training and guidance to UAE Nationals for their development programs.

  • Comply with HSE policies, procedures, and legal regulations, and adhere to sustainability guidelines.
Reports
  • Assist in preparing management information systems (MIS) and progress reports.
Communications & Working Relationships

Internal: Engineering support teams, site engineers, operational divisions, corporate planning, and energy committees.

External: ADNOC Group Energy Committee, other ADNOC companies, and shareholders.
