Driven to create unique home-grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is a UAE-based hospitality company with multiple concepts under its umbrella SALT, Parker's, Grind, Somewhere and Public.

We are currently seeking to hire an experienced Marketing Coordinator who will play a key role in supporting the planning and execution of dynamic marketing initiatives, with a strong emphasis on marketing campaigns, activations, events, and specifically store openings, for Independent Food Company's portfolio of brands. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a passion for creating engaging experiences and driving brand visibility through various channels. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful implementation and impactful results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing Campaign & Activation Support: Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns and brand activations across different channels (e.g., digital, social, in-store). Coordinate timelines, resources, and logistics to ensure smooth campaign delivery.
  • Event Coordination: Provide comprehensive support for the planning and execution of various events, including promotional events, customer engagement activities, and brand-building initiatives. This includes vendor management, material sourcing, on-site support, and post-event analysis.
  • Store Opening Support: Play a crucial role in the marketing activities surrounding new store openings. This includes coordinating pre-opening buzz generation, on-site event management, local marketing initiatives, and ensuring brand consistency at the new location.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure brand guidelines are consistently applied across all marketing materials, activations, and events, maintaining a cohesive brand image and messaging.
  • Content & Material Coordination: Collaborate with design and content teams to develop necessary marketing materials for campaigns, events, and store openings, including digital assets, signage, and promotional items.
  • Vendor & Agency Liaison: Assist in managing relationships with external vendors and agencies involved in campaign execution, event production, and store opening activities.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track the performance of marketing campaigns, activations, and events against defined objectives. Assist in the preparation of reports summarizing key metrics and providing insights for future improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, store management, and other internal teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of marketing initiatives, particularly for store openings and in-store activations.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices in marketing campaigns, events, and store launches.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the marketing team as needed, including budget tracking, scheduling, and documentation.

Education

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience in a marketing support role, with direct involvement in marketing campaigns, activations, and events.
  • Specific experience supporting store openings or similar launch events is highly preferred.
  • Experience within the F&B or hospitality industry is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and campaign execution.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and support successful events and activations.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining brand consistency.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with marketing tools and analytics platforms is a plus.
  • Creative and proactive approach with a willingness to take initiative.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
