Job summary

A leading company in the UAE is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong background in project execution and quality documentation. Qualifications

Job description

What you will do

You will work with operations teams to execute projects, including submitting QA/QC documents, reviewing vendor documents, issuing RFIs, coordinating with clients and vendors for inspections, and being responsible for submitting the Final Dossier. You will also contribute to sales during the pre-bid stage by providing input on quality requirements.

How you will do it

You will be responsible for:

  1. Project Start-Up & Quality Documentation:
  • Attend Kick-Off and Pre-Inspection Meetings with clients and vendors.
  • Review project requirements and specifications, providing input to operations for project execution.
  • Support the engineering team during design document preparation with quality input.
  • Prepare quality documents according to the Vendor Documents Register (VDR) and submit for client approval.
  • Review vendor QA/QC documents submitted for client approval.
  • Qualify WQT, PQR, and WPS as per project requirements and submit to the client.
  1. Quality Inspections:
  • Raise RFIs according to the Inspection and Test Plan.
  • Ensure all necessary inspections and tests are conducted as per project and statutory requirements, maintaining proper records.
  • Conduct quality inspections at TYCO workshop and vendor locations as per approved ITP and QA/QC documents.
  • Coordinate inspection activities with clients and third parties in line with the approved ITP.
  • Coordinate quality activities among contractors and vendors.
  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process items, and final products.
  • Identify nonconformities in materials, products, processes, procedures, and site installations, reporting them via nonconformity reports.
  • Ensure calibration of all equipment and tools, maintaining calibration sheets.
  • Organize and conduct QA/QC training sessions at TYCO workshops, vendor sites, and on-site as needed.
  1. Sales Support:
  • Assist the sales team during bid/tender submissions by reviewing client quality specifications to ensure compliance and helping prepare necessary quality documents (e.g., PQP, ITP) and responding to client quality questionnaires regularly.
  • Help develop Project Quality Plans conforming to ISO 9001:2018 standards and project-specific quality requirements.
  1. Final Documentation:
  • Prepare the Final Dossier Index in accordance with project requirements and obtain client approval.
  • Gather and compile all inspection and test reports, approved data sheets, QA/QC documents, and drawings.
  • Prepare and submit the Final Dossier based on the approved index.
