Otis L.L.C - Safety Officer Job Description

Location: 37th floor, The One Tower, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

The role holder is responsible for providing guidance and support to field employees on meeting safety requirements within World Wide Job Site Safety Standards (WWJSSS). The role also involves delivering safety induction training for new employees and ensuring duties are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide management insights on work area performance to facilitate decision-making.
  2. Adhere to departmental policies, processes, and SOPs to ensure consistent work execution.
  3. Perform site safety inspections, identify hazards, and follow up on corrective actions.
  4. Follow up on safety action plans, including inspection results and incident investigations, and prepare recommendations.
  5. Conduct FPA audits and evaluate employees against Otis safety standards.
  6. Conduct surprise inspections to verify EH&S compliance and review documentation.
  7. Train employees on WWJSSS requirements to recognize hazards and ensure safety compliance.
  8. Deliver safety induction training for new hires and subcontractors.
  9. Conduct regular toolbox talks and safety training sessions.
  10. Report safety violations during inspections and audits to supervisors.
  11. Prepare weekly and monthly safety reports.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or equivalent.
  • Relevant certifications such as CSHM, EHSPC, or equivalent are preferred.
  • At least 1 year of relevant EH&S experience in construction or engineering sectors.
