Job Description

Join our Real Estate team in Dubai to work on a diverse range of projects, including Residential, Commercial, Healthcare, Hospitality, Leisure, and Master Plan developments. Projects are mainly new builds but may also include fit-outs and refurbishments. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career within a dynamic team and contribute to impactful projects.

Scope

Cost Managers support our project leads across various project phases, from pre-contract estimating to post-contract on-site activities. Our projects are complex and high-value.

Main Purpose Of Role

1. Support the Commission Manager with assigned tasks.
2. Deliver excellent service to clients, building trust and enhancing reputation.
3. Ensure client objectives are met through effective cost management from pre-contract to completion.

Key Experience Requirements

1. Experience in the Real Estate / Property sector for a professional cost consultancy.
2. Proficiency in pre-contract services, including feasibility, tendering, measurement, and pricing of building and MEP works.
3. Experience in post-contract services, including interim applications, change management, and variation valuation.
4. Knowledge of standard form contracts, preferably FIDIC, and contract procedures.
5. Professional approach with confidence in your role.
6. Ability to collaborate effectively with contractor personnel.
7. Procurement experience and client-facing skills are advantageous.

Key Accountabilities

1. Accurate measurement of building and/or MEP works.
2. Knowledge of market prices for construction works.
3. Production of comprehensive Bills of Quantities.
4. Managing cost variances, change controls, and interim applications.
5. Ensuring accuracy and quality of work.
6. Supporting timely and accurate reporting.
7. Engaging with clients, contractors, and consultants.
8. Aiming to advance your career.

Qualifications

1. Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
2. UAE experience is required.
3. Professional membership (e.g., MRICS) is a plus.
4. At least 4 years of relevant experience.
5. Good understanding of the construction industry and technical matters.
6. Proficiency in CostX software.
