Job description

The Associate Director will work on all aspects of media planning, including digital, outdoor, and TV. They will serve as the primary contact and be responsible for the operational delivery of the Client’s briefs. Leading the integrated team, they will ensure solutions meet agency standards and Client expectations. This role involves both internal and client-facing responsibilities, with potential involvement in new business development through agency pitches. The ideal candidate must be strategic, hands-on, possess strong project management skills, and be passionate about delivering effective outcomes.

Key responsibilities :

Client & Internal Relationships :

  • Manage client expectations and deliverables
  • Advise clients on integrating media into their advertising and marketing strategies
  • Assist the Business Director in expanding business opportunities within existing clients
  • Stay updated on media trends and proactively propose innovative solutions
  • Inform teams and clients of new opportunities or issues
  • Lead or participate in face-to-face client and vendor meetings
  • Build positive relationships with internal and external teams
  • Identify and resolve problems systematically and proactively
  • Guide and nurture team members, fostering a positive team environment
  • Manage multiple deliverables efficiently

Communication Skills :

  • Communicate clearly and concisely in spoken and written English
  • Develop and deliver compelling media presentations and reports
  • Handle challenging media questions confidently
  • Organize ideas logically and sequentially

Media Skills :

  • Knowledge of local media, digital, SEM, and social landscapes, with awareness of new trends
  • Proficiency in digital tools (DCM, DV360, Meta, etc.)
  • Analyze digital data, review reports, and set benchmarks
  • Design digital solutions within overall media strategies
  • Support digital training for the team as needed

Managerial Skills :

  • Guide and supervise planners and managers in media planning and buying
  • Oversee digital ad serving, operations, finance, and traditional media buying
  • Lead and promote team cohesion, nurturing junior team members
  • Maintain open communication regarding career development
  • Conduct performance appraisals based on clear objectives

Qualifications :

  • 6–8 years of experience in media planning, digital, or client management
  • Adaptability to fast-paced, changing environments
