Job Description: Information Designer
Experience: 5 years
Role PurposeContinuously search at request or independently for new useful external data sources and pursues/purchases such sources. Take business perspective for requests while maintaining integrity and agility of information systems.
Ensure optimal integration of new data in close collaboration with the Information Architect by designing the architectures and methodologies required for schema development, data quality, and create specifications for ETL processing by the ITS team.
Collaborate intensely with the Information Architect which includes:
- Collaboratively and continuously triaging new requirements for best practice implementation (UDM vs. Data lab) with the aim to maximize data accessibility and quality across Daman and to maintain and ensure the continued integrity of the UDM.
- Ensuring a continuous deputy between the two functions; if needed, delegation needs to be instant without major handover.
- Execute out-of-model data extractions and data integrations ("agile") in close collaboration with the respective management of IT Applications and Intelligence Administrator has mandate to commission work to IT required for such integrations with consent of the Section Head Data Governance.
- Actively plan and undertake any action that enhances the connection of Intelligence with any of the business units with consent of the Director and/or Section Head Data Governance.
Enable and support Intelligence services such as intelligence refresh analysis, advice, intelligence Research and Development (R&D), coaching relevant committees, performance intelligence, and health economics intelligence at direction of the superior. Implement and maintain data models, dictionaries, lineage, and business views of UDM and Data Lab.
Coordinate and provide input to the business specifications for development activities. Propose data quality tasks for Data Quality Auditor to the Section Head Data Governance.
Administer a consistent standard Data Dictionary including data definitions for all data subjects.
Key Requirements and QualificationsMinimum 5 years of IT experience, out of which minimum 3 years should be in the field of data modelling and/or integration:
- Used data modelling techniques for large data stores (Relational and MultiDimensional).
- Worked with business and IT personnel on data-related issues.
- Worked on enterprise data warehouses and large-scale business reporting.
Experience in Health care/insurance industry is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or any related field with programming exposure.
