Responsible for overseeing the centralized governance, planning, and execution of global submarine & cross border international cable projects to deliver scalable, reliable, and cost-effective connectivity solutions in support of AI, cloud, and data-driven industries. Responsible for establishing a robust PMO framework, overseeing cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical, regulatory, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership:
2. Ensure international subsea and cross border cable projects align with the organization's long-term AI goals by providing reliable, high-speed connectivity essential for AI applications.
3. Align project portfolios with corporate strategy, prioritizing routes critical to AI, hyperscale cloud, and emerging markets.
4. Oversee resource utilization and budget management to support AI projects without delays or overspending.
5. Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for international submarine and cross border cable initiatives.
6. Implement a robust PMO framework to standardize processes, tools, and reporting for operational efficiency.
7. Provide guidance on emerging technologies and industry trends in submarine cable systems.
8. Project Management:
9. Define project scopes, objectives, budgets, and timelines adhering to company standards.
10. Manage the full lifecycle of submarine cable projects, including feasibility, route planning, permitting, installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring technical compliance and system reliability.
11. Coordinate multiple projects, ensuring effective resource allocation, scheduling, and risk management.
12. Lead expansion and upgrades of submarine cable infrastructure to meet AI-driven data traffic demands, including low-latency and high-bandwidth needs.
13. Integrate cutting-edge technology into cable systems to support large AI data volumes and ensure robust, uninterrupted connectivity.
14. Design cable projects with strong security features for sensitive AI data processing.
15. Vendors & Suppliers Management:
16. Collaborate on tender processes, contract negotiations, and compliance with regulations and standards.
17. Manage relationships with stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and industry forums.
18. Budgeting & Financial Management:
19. Develop and monitor project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and report financial status to senior management.
20. Compliance, Quality, and Risk Management:
21. Implement risk mitigation strategies and quality assurance plans to safeguard assets and ensure standards.
22. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
23. Partner with various departments to secure permits, negotiate contracts, and resolve technical challenges.
24. Coordinate with internal teams and regulators to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
25. Process Optimization, Innovation, Support & Reporting:
26. Develop processes to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
27. Establish KPIs to improve PMO performance and project success rates.
28. Drive innovation through next-gen submarine cable technologies and AI integration for network optimization and predictive maintenance.
29. Lead the transition of projects into operational phases with ongoing maintenance and monitoring.
30. Provide regular reports on project status, financials, and risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or related field.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in the subsea cable industry.
