Back Office Engineer

We are looking for a Back Office Engineer to join our FE_WIBU team in the United Arab Emirates.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

1. Assist distributors and direct customers in preparing quotations for complex products and applications, negotiate tier 1 project orders, and coordinate with the sales support team in Europe.
2. Prepare tenders and offers technically and commercially in close cooperation with outdoor sales engineers, authorized dealers, and customers mainly in the Gulf region.
3. Evaluate customer pump application requirements to ensure the company's ability to meet customer needs regarding product and pricing.
4. Work closely with designers on complex municipal projects to support their work and specify Sulzer products where possible.
5. Manage technical and commercial negotiations with customers, maximize order-to-quote conversion respecting the delegation of authority, in collaboration with support functions.
6. Maintain proper reporting with superiors and utilize company tools such as Quotation Tool, CRM, SAP, following WIBU’s and the company's guidelines.
7. Clarify demanding technical questions.
8. Maintain regular contact with customers via phone or email.
9. Handle and process projects and orders in SAP, from quotation elaboration, deadline tracking, coordination, monitoring, to invoicing.
10. Maintain regular contact with Sulzer Water & Industry BU factories.
11. Ensure compliance with regulations and end-user specifications.

Qualifications:

• Education: Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as sales support, application engineer, or tendering engineer in multinational companies, preferably in wastewater and water treatment equipment manufacturing. Knowledge in Chemical, Food, Fertilizers, PPI industries is a plus.
• Experience in wastewater and water treatment.
• Arabic language skills are preferable.
