Core Responsibilities

STRATEGIC

? Participate in the strategy formulation exercise to outlining how Information Technology can be aligned to the objectives and strategy of CLIENT.

? Lead the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Information Technology function.

? Review the budget requirements of the overall Information Technology function, and accordingly participate in the development of the budget

? Ensure the development and implementation of the Information Technology policies, procedures, standards and guidelines and address instances of non-adherence.

? Manage third party agreements related to CLIENT's IT functionality and participate in regular reviews of contracts and proposals.

OPERATIONAL

IT Governance

? Oversee the status of IT projects during all phases (analysis, implementation, test, roll out) for large all projects and review project status reports.

? Oversee the development of projects plans and the relevant communication plans.

? Ensure the implementation of project management best practices as governed by PMO based project management framework including its process definition, templates and tools.

IT Operations

? Direct CLIENT IT infrastructure, in terms of databases and provisions for data centers, provision of network devices and protocol standards.

? Monitor and review services to meet Service Level Agreements.

? Ensure prompt maintenance of hardware or software and sufficient systems capacity in order to prevent delay of operations of CLIENT.

? Review and approve the design and finalization of technical plans (system design, platforms and integration).

? Ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements.

? Ensure that CLIENT is always kept up-to-date with new technologies by analysing business needs and recommending hardware and software upgrades.

2 ? Make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts.

? Ensure ongoing support for issues faced with applications, network, hardware and connectivity.

? Ensure that employees are given the most comprehensive, effective and reliable IT services and support.

? Lead the development of infrastructure risk analysis and develop strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.

? Oversee the development of contingency planning for disaster recovery in the event of security and technical breaches related to payment systems.

? Ensure the development of participant interface manuals and other technical standards issued by the individual payment systems.

IT Applications

? Oversee the development and implementation of IT projects, in terms of testing, user acceptance and project documentation.

? Prepare budget estimates (timelines, cost, resources, development and testing environments) for solution development and deployment activities and ensure that necessary resources are available for each solution development and deployment.

? Oversee the planning of IT projects lifecycle deployment.

? Review, in conjunction with the respective department heads, the technology requirements to support CLIENT strategic and operational objectives.

? Guide and oversee implementation of appropriate technology solutions to satisfy the needs of CLIENT and other third parties connected to it for the purposes of payment systems and other systems provided by CLIENT.

? Ensure that all technology solutions are aligned with the industry leading practices and CLIENT policies.

? Manage a Service Level Agreement (SLA) framework for all IT solutions and projects. IT Security

? Plan, direct and manage the operation of information technology security systems.

? Oversee the development and implementation of IT security framework, both physical and electronic, for systems operated within CLIENT.

? Ensure systems available are reliable, secured, quality assured and that they perform to the satisfaction of CLIENT departments.

? Oversee troubleshooting, systems backups, and archiving; and provide expert support when necessary.

? Monitor the performance of technical help desk in providing CLIENT employees with the required proficient support.

PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT

? Provide leadership and direction to subordinates towards the achievement of goals and objectives.

? Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher level roles.

Qualifications And Experience

? Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology.

Years & Nature Of Experience

? 12 - 15 years experience, with at least 8 years strong experience in a similar role.

? 6+ years working experience in the UAE, with appropriate familiarity with the UAE market and regulations.

? Proficient in the Arabic and English languages.
