Job Description

Role Overview: We are seeking a results-driven and visionary Commercial Director / Business Development Director to lead our commercial strategy, drive revenue growth, and expand our market presence. This senior leadership role involves identifying new business opportunities, fostering key partnerships, leading the sales team, and maximizing profitability through strategic planning and execution.

The key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and executing the commercial strategy aligned with Bamboo Card's growth objectives.
  2. Leading and mentoring the business development and account management teams to achieve revenue and client acquisition targets.
  3. Identifying and pursuing new B2B partnership opportunities, including corporate clients, fintechs, retailers, and digital platforms.
  4. Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers to grow long-term strategic accounts.
  5. Managing the sales pipeline, forecasting, reporting, and performance metrics.
  6. Collaborating with Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure alignment of commercial goals.
  7. Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to refine tactics.
  8. Negotiating high-value deals, pricing models, and commercial terms to optimize profitability.
  9. Representing Bamboo Card at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in a commercial or business development leadership role, preferably in fintech, digital gifting, payments, loyalty, or e-commerce.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles, account management, and partnerships.
  • Ability to drive revenue growth and lead high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Dubai, UAE.
