Role Summary:

The Manager's role aims to drive the growth of the sustainability ecosystem within DMCC, covering all the sub-sectors that are linked to it from renewable/clean energy, water and related technology. This involves enhancing its value proposition through the development of new services, strategic initiatives, partnerships, and engagement programs at the DMCCSustainability Hub.

Key responsibilities include managing the Hub’s membership, monitoring performance, and maintaining relationships with key partners and stakeholders. Collaborating with the Director, the Manager will promote the Hub via various channels, ensuring revenue and operational targets are achieved. The Manager will also contribute to the development of strategies and identify key target markets for client acquisition.

Additionally, the Manager will work with theSenior Manager - Sustainability and Public Affairs tolead sustainability projects for DMCC and its members, conduct market and competitor analysis, and support the Director in creating business plans for strategic projects and alliances to foster ecosystem growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with key partners on delivering the Hub’sactivation programs(acceleration, funding, networking and knowledge sharing) in collaboration with Marketing.
  • Monitor the Hub’s performance and ensure that both operational and revenue targets are achieved
  • Manage theonboarding and retentionof the Hub’s members, including the eligibility criteria and evaluation process to qualify as a member
  • Support the Corporate Sales and Business Setup teams in clients meetings related to sustainability and related sub-sectors, highlighting the Hub’s value proposition and providing advice on all sustainability related license activities and related scope and approvals.
  • Identify collaboration opportunities anddevelop long-term strategic partnerships with key government stakeholders, businesses and industry bodies relevant to the sustainability ecosystem (e.g. local regulators) working in collaboration with Senior Manager - Sustainability and Public Affairs
  • Support the Director by evaluating strategic partnership opportunities in the sustainability space, preparing business cases and negotiating with parties on the finer details of the commercial arrangements.
  • Develop and manage the performance of the Hub’s strategic alliances and ecosystem partners, ensuring that appropriate KPI’s are in place and measured. Lead discussions with partners regarding the performance against KPI’s and appropriate actions.
  • Promote the Centre and generate leads by participating in relevant events, exhibitions and panel discussions, by working with Marketing on content marketing and digital campaigns
  • Host inbound delegations relevant to the sustainability sector and deliver the Hub’s value proposition, linking it to DMCC’s overall vision and objectives. Identify opportunities for collaboration and lead generation, and ensure post meeting follow-up is conducted.
  • Provide input to the Director and Marketing team on strategies and key target markets for client acquisition from sector
  • Provide input to the Director to ensure that the Hub’s value proposition and service offering is relevant and competitive and aligned to the free zone strategic goals.
  • Prepare the Hub’s product development plans and leads cross-functional teams through the design, develop and implement stages of product cycle.
  • Monitors the full lifecycle of Hub’s product and service offering, recommending appropriate actions to address performance issues.
  • Recommend and support key sustainability projects for DMCC in collaboration with internal stakeholders and working with the Senior Manager - Sustainability and Public Affairs.
  • Coordinates market research and competitive review activities to identify opportunities for improvements and new product development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree level (Master's preferred)
  • 5 years of business experience, with at least 2 years in the field of sustainability, e-mobility, renewable energy or greentech
  • Strategic analysis
