Job Description

The buy-side M&A Analyst plays a critical role in evaluating, executing, and integrating acquisitions. Supporting the Senior Associate and Investment Director, you'll be responsible for deal sourcing and screening, financial modelling, and due diligence.

  1. Deal Sourcing & Screening
    • Analyse industry trends and competitive landscapes.
    • Build DCF, LBO, merger models, and accretion/dilution analyses.
    • Perform sensitivity and scenario analysis.
  2. Due Diligence
    • Assess quality of earnings (QoE), working capital, and debt structure.
    • Prepare investment committee memos summarising findings.
    • Highlight synergies, integration challenges, and ROI potential.
  3. Deal Execution Support
    • Work with legal on term sheets, purchase agreements, and SPA reviews.
    • Track performance post-acquisition vs. initial projections.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Advanced Excel & financial modelling
  • Understanding of accounting (GAAP/IFRS)
  • Attention to detail in due diligence
  • Education and Experience: CFA or MBA advantageous, 3-5 years sound knowledge of SME markets
