Job Purpose
Supervise and perform maintenance of Electrical equipment in the Plant to ensure equipment availability, reliability, and integrity.
Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)
Maintenance Planning and Execution
- Ensure availability of resources for Electrical equipment maintenance and schedule expectations for safe and timely completion.
- Plan, schedule, execute, and supervise preventive/predictive maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and safety.
- Inspect and follow up on task progress, providing reports to ensure quality and timely execution.
- Provide technical support, prepare scope of work, manage contracts, report costs, and participate in negotiations for equipment repairs.
- Contribute to the preparation of maintenance procedures and risk assessments, investigate equipment failures, and suggest control measures.
- Maintain up-to-date maintenance records, fault reports, and logbooks; update equipment databases for effective management.
- Authorize electrical isolation certificates and work permits to ensure safety.
- Conduct safety toolbox talks regularly.
- Supervise testing and commissioning of new or modified equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Participate in planning and executing shutdowns and major overhauls.
Materials Control
- Monitor availability of tools, equipment, and parts for scheduled jobs.
- Prepare and issue requisitions for spares, tools, and materials; verify specifications of new materials.
