This position will be responsible for day-to-day monitoring and tracking of Special Cargo shipments in line with Universal Services Contract, pro-active customer service and exception handling. VIP/Special Desk Officer must follow the agreed company policies and adopt needed procedures to ensure that handling of daily tasks is in line with the contracts to secure reliable service and satisfaction of customers.
Responsibilities:
Track and Trace Export and Import Special Cargo shipments.
Process Special Cargo Export/Import bookings and coordinate loading/delivery.
Identify any potential delays and provide proper notification to the customer as per the contract guidelines.
Submit any delivery delays or booking modification in the Customer portal.
Update vessel schedules in Integrated Booking System portal for Cargo booking.
Submit billings for recovery of applicable port storage or reefer charges.
Ensure compliance with APL/CMA rules and regulations, Special Cargo contract terms.
Identify problems that come up during customer interaction and bring them to resolution per defined processes.
Identify data, service or customer information integrity issues and take action to resolve.
Actively participate in company initiatives to plan and implement ideas and suggestions that benefit APL.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with minimum 2 to 3 years of industry experience in similary capacity .
