Reporting Line

Sales Manager, Motion, UAE

Role and Responsibilities
  1. Define and implement marketing strategies for the assigned area (business area, division, and markets).
  2. Lead, develop, and coach the Marketing team daily.
  3. Design and manage marketing action plans to meet qualitative and quantitative targets profitably, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  4. Work model: On-site. Contributes to Motion in UAE.
  5. Create, plan, and execute marketing and communication strategies aligned with business and division goals and budgets.
  6. Develop action plans to deliver marketing strategies within budget.
  7. Set and achieve marketing targets; proactively anticipate market changes and implement remedial actions.
  8. Identify strategic segments and opportunities through market analysis; develop strategies and coordinate with relevant teams.
  9. Adhere to ABB Safety and Integrity Guidelines with zero tolerance.
  10. Define market sizing and channels for MV Drives in UAE, aligned with division and go-to-market strategies.
  11. Coordinate market analyses with sales, define forecasts, and evaluate customer and competitor data.
  12. Align global division strategies with local market needs to grow sales and market share.
  13. Plan and implement product marketing strategies to meet business objectives and global product strategies.
  14. Oversee sales and marketing activities, supporting sales teams in driving product sales and services.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • 5-7 years in sales and product management, with at least 4 years in Medium Voltage Drives and Packaging.
  • Market and industry application experience.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Ability to develop growth plans for Medium Voltage Drives across industry segments with effective go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong internal and external communication skills.
  • Results-oriented, dedicated, and ownership-driven.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Team-oriented with a capacity to transfer and develop technical capabilities.
  • Effective time management and stress resilience to meet targets.
