SALAMA is looking for a visionary Chief Distribution Officer – Corporate Solutions to lead, manage, and grow both our broker channel and direct corporate sales channel across all corporate solutions products, including Group Medical, Group Life, Motor Fleet, and Commercial Lines .

This role is key to driving the achievement of ambitious sales targets, expanding our market share, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory and Shari’ah principles , while fostering long-term relationships with brokers, corporate clients, and key stakeholders .

Job Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership :

  • Develop and execute the distribution strategy for corporate solutions, aligning with SALAMA’s overall growth objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth and market penetration through both broker and direct corporate sales channels.
  • Ensure all sales and distribution activities comply with Islamic Shari’ah principles and UAE regulatory requirements.

Broker and Direct Sales Management :

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with brokers to optimize sales opportunities and distribution reach.
  • Lead and manage the direct corporate sales team to acquire and retain large corporate clients.
  • Negotiate distribution agreements and performance-based incentives with brokers.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance across both channels, implementing corrective actions when needed.

Product Distribution & Market Expansion :

  • Develop and implement strategies for distributing Group Medical, Group Life, Motor Fleet, and Commercial Lines products to corporate clients.
  • Identify new market segments and opportunities for growth within corporate insurance solutions.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, and product teams to ensure competitive pricing and product offerings.

Financial & Performance Management :

  • Set and achieve sales targets, ensuring profitability and sustainability.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales, revenue growth, and market share.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and reporting of sales performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the distribution team, fostering a high-performance sales culture.
  • Implement training programs to enhance the sales capability of both broker managers and direct sales teams.
  • Promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing across teams to maximize business opportunities.

Regulatory & Compliance :

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements set by the Central Bank of the UAE and Shari’ah guidelines.
  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure proper governance of sales agreements and partnerships.
  • Stay updated on market regulations, adjusting distribution strategies accordingly.

Stakeholder Engagement :

  • Engage with key stakeholders, including brokers, corporate clients, regulators, and internal teams, to drive business success.
  • Represent SALAMA in industry forums, conferences, and regulatory meetings.
  • Work closely with underwriting, claims, and actuarial teams to align sales efforts with risk management strategies.

Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in insurance distribution, with a proven track record in leading broker relationships and corporate sales.
  • Strong knowledge of Group Medical, Group Life, Motor Fleet, and Commercial Lines products.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute long-term distribution strategies.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
