Responsibilities
The role holder will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Identify, research, and develop future business development opportunities with clients focusing on Cold chain verticals.
- Source new partnering opportunities to advance goals and present them to business leaders for alignment.
- Lead and co-lead pre-deal activities, including identifying opportunities, negotiating term sheets, developing business cases, preparing presentations for executive leadership, and coordinating with legal and other departments on closing deals.
- Manage post-deal relationships, resolve contractual issues, negotiate amendments, and prepare post-deal reports for the executive team.
- Manage revenue from partnerships, mitigate revenue risks, and develop new ideas to grow revenue from existing partnerships.
- Collaborate with Directors and Vice Presidents across the organization from deal creation to ongoing relationship management, requiring strong communication and partnership skills.
- Lead quarterly partnership reviews and draft reports for the executive team.
- Identify target sectors or areas for development.
- Align and develop sales and marketing strategies with operations.
- Build relationships with clients to ensure loyalty and retention.
- Study market trends and stay updated with industry changes to create new business opportunities.
- Gather client feedback to improve solutions and address operational or sales obstacles.
- Enhance contracts and proposals to meet market needs.
- Develop warehouse services and products.
- Equip sales with necessary materials and training to approach clients effectively.
- Assist with marketing and promotional projects.
- Develop strategies aligned with the company's vision and mission.
- Prepare an annual budget based on client acquisition, growth, and retention rates.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of logistics sales experience, preferably in the logistics industry.
- Good knowledge of MS Office.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets for key accounts.
- Experience with CRM software.
- Strong motivation to succeed in sales.
- Detail-oriented with multitasking abilities.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexible, adaptable, and a self-starter.
