We are working in partnership with NEOM s groundbreaking development and are searching for a Senior Manager Marine Engineering to lead the design and construction strategy for marine infrastructure across THE LINE one of the most ambitious and visionary projects globally.
Role Overview
Senior Manager Marine Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and execution of all marine engineering works across THE LINE region, which spans over 9,500 km and includes major developments such as the Hidden Marina Mirror Line Phase 1, the Landscapes of THE LINE, three special projects, and the NEOM International Airport (NIA).
Requirements Summary
Proven experience in Marine Engineering from both a consultancy and client-side perspective.
Previous experience working on marine engineering projects in Saudi Arabia is an asset.
Strong background in process mapping and modelling tools.
Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Skilled in stakeholder negotiation and influence to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Flexible and adaptive to feedback and changing priorities.

Key Accountabilities
Lead the delivery of Marine Engineering strategy, design, and construction for THE LINE, ensuring alignment with budget, schedule, quality, and sustainability objectives.
Be part of the core team accountable for multi-disciplinary engineering delivery across THE LINE region.
Work with a team of specialists to support the Design Project Engineering Management teams.
Provide oversight on marine engineering procurement and management across multiple project assets.
Set marine engineering direction in collaboration with THE LINE Design leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a comprehensive marine engineering strategy aligned with THE LINE delivery objectives.
Create implementation plans that reflect specific project requirements, schedules, and budgets.
Review and expand on existing studies produced by NEOM s Infrastructure and Design Engineering teams.
Identify and leverage industry knowledge and networks to introduce suitable marine engineering technologies.
Evaluate and integrate technologies that align with project goals and can be deployed seamlessly.
Build strategic partnerships and collaborations with technology providers, research institutions, and industry experts.
Cultivate a culture of innovation, learning, and engineering excellence across the marine team.
Mentor and guide technical staff to ensure successful execution of strategic plans.
Analyze complex technical challenges and deliver effective, innovative solutions.
Define and track KPIs that measure the impact of marine engineering strategies on timelines, cost, and environmental performance.
Provide regular updates and reports to project leadership.
Stay informed of the latest industry trends and technological advancements relevant to marine engineering.
Experience & Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Minimum of 20 years of experience in marine engineering or closely related fields.
Proven leadership and success in managing complex stakeholder relationships.
Strong strategic thinking and ability to solve high-level technical and managerial challenges.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in high-pressure environments.
High emotional intelligence and demonstrated diplomatic approach.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Master s degree preferred).
Professional memberships or accreditations, or equivalent experience that demonstrates a comparable level of expertise.
