Heavy Machinery Viqa is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to manage and maintain accurate stock records across our operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with inbound and outbound inventory processes, material consumption tracking, GRN preparation, and stock audits. This role requires strong coordination with multiple departments, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with systems such as Tally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Operations
- Oversee inbound and outbound inventory processes ensuring accurate documentation and timely movement.
- Prepare and validate Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) for all incoming materials.
- Record material consumption and generate periodic consumption reports based on actual movement and analysis.
- Create and manage bin locations and ensure proper tagging and labeling of inventory.
- System & Data Management
- Enter and update stock records in Tally or other relevant inventory systems.
- Create, review, and monitor stock entries, stock transfers, and adjustments.
- Maintain system accuracy in line with physical stock at all times.
- Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless inventory flow.
- Conduct regular stock audits (cycle counts and full physical audits) and reconcile discrepancies.
- Generate detailed inventory reports for management review and assist in planning reorders.
- Excel & Reporting Skills
- Utilize advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, SUMIF, etc.) to analyze stock data and present actionable insights.
- Maintain and automate stock tracking sheets where necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of inventory control experience, preferably in heavy machinery, equipment, or industrial spare parts.
- Strong knowledge of Tally ERP, stock entry modules, and related inventory software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Experience with bin location management and warehouse layout structuring is a plus.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work independently.
Preferred:
- Experience in a heavy machinery, mining, or construction equipment environment.
- Familiarity with UAE logistics practices and documentation.
