Job summary

A leading company in energy management and automation is seeking a Contract Manager in Abu Dhabi. The role involves supporting contractual matters during tender and execution phases, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies. Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in contract management within a project environment.

  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Provide support pertaining to contractual matters during Tender and Execution phases.
  2. Negotiate contracts with customers and subcontractors, collaborating with sales, tender, and operation teams.
  3. Reduce contractual risk through thorough and consistent reviews.
  4. Support project execution in identifying and pursuing variation orders and claims.
  5. Ensure compliance with Group policies and liaise with corporate functions as required.
  6. Develop a culture of best practices with IMPACT.
Key Responsibilities - Tender Phase
  1. Negotiate main contractual documents with Tender and Sales teams, supported by SMEs. Monitor contractual commitments such as coming into force, liabilities, claims, and variation orders.
  2. Review and highlight key contractual and operational risks to ensure compliance with Schneider Electric policies.
  3. Perform contract reviews (including terms and conditions) in consultation with Legal and SRM.
  4. Conduct GAP analysis of final contracts against approved mandates.
Key Responsibilities - Execution Phase
  1. Support project managers in contractual matters with customers and subcontractors.
  2. Draft contractual correspondence in consultation with Legal.
  3. Support deployment of corporate guidelines, change order & claim management, and best practices.
  4. Assist PMs in defending claims such as LDs and standby costs.
  5. Advise on suspension notices during execution and strategies to optimize claims in case of suspension or termination.
Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Project Management, Legal, and Risk Assessment.
  • Contract Management Certification or equivalent.
