Job Description

Job Purpose

To effectively plan and control the Aircraft stores and materials inventory to achieve desired service levels with optimum stock levels. To analyze and improve current inventory system parameters, models, and processes for continuous enhancement of systems and planning policies. To work closely with Material Planning, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to ensure adequate material support for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Ensure timely initial provisioning of rotables, repairables, expendables, and consumables for engines and aircraft by analyzing manufacturer recommendations and establishing requirements to support fleet growth and maintain dispatch reliability.
  2. Ensure timely replenishment of aircraft and engine spares and materials through proper use of flight inventory systems to support aircraft maintenance and dispatch reliability.
  3. Establish reports, measure item-level analysis, and take corrective/preventive actions to achieve and maintain desired service levels. Set up and administer policies and procedures for Service Level and Nil Stock analysis.
  4. Conduct timely reviews of non-moving and overstocked rotables, repairables, and expendables to identify surplus stock and manage buyback or sale opportunities, reducing inventory levels.
  5. Develop efficient material planning procedures and methods for different aircraft parts to maintain cost-effective and optimal spares and materials inventory.
  6. Review all purchase requisitions raised by end users for accuracy before passing them to Procurement.
  7. Supervise maintenance of the TRAX system PN Master records for data integrity, review rotable spares requirements, and assess part number interchangeability based on industry standards.
  8. Prepare and submit monthly inventory reconciliation reports for rotables and expendables.
  9. Participate in the selection and acceptance of new inventory systems and lead their implementation to ensure smooth deployment and maximum utilization.

Skills

  • University degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of inventory systems, models, probability theories, forecasting, and materials management principles.
  • Understanding of related Maintenance & Engineering functions, including Base & Line Maintenance, Repair & Warranty Stores, and Distribution, and their interfaces with Material Planning & Control.
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance philosophies, policies, procedures, and ATA specifications.
  • Expertise in Trax or similar ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with technical documentation such as Aircraft IPCs, Supplemental IPCs, SBs, SILs, ADs, CMMs, and AMMs.
  • Strong ability to interpret and implement policies and procedures.
