Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Officer with over 8 years of proven experience in the UAE, particularly in procurement activities in Civil & Infra projects, with prior experience with RTA (Roads and Transport Authority) projects considered an advantage. The ideal candidate must be available to join immediately.

Responsibilities:
  1. Study the requirements of materials/subcontract works according to the contract documents.
  2. Prepare the request for quotation (RFQ) or enquiry package, including specifications, drawings, and bill of quantities.
  3. Invite qualified bidders to quote for the respective package and follow up closely with subcontractors/suppliers to submit quotations.
  4. Evaluate received quotations to ensure compliance with specifications and project requirements. Negotiate with bidders to achieve favorable commercial and credit terms.
  5. Produce price and technical evaluation reports and make recommendations for work packages.
  6. Review technical data from successful bidders to ensure proper submissions and coordinate with the project team for technical submittals, ensuring scope of work and contractual terms are met.
  7. Prepare contract agreements to formalize work packages.
  8. Follow up with successful bidders for bank guarantees (advance payment/performance bonds).
  9. Report procurement status regularly to the team leader or supervisor.
  10. Survey current market prices for construction materials and stay updated on new materials and technologies.
Qualifications:
  • Engineering Degree in Civil, Project Management, or related field
  • 8+ Years of relevant work experience
