Education: Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering (MBA preferred but not mandatory)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong technical background in switchgear systems (LV, MV, HV) and a proven track record in sales & market expansion across the UAE/GCC. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with switchgear manufacturers, EPC contractors, or electrical distribution companies and will drive revenue growth by targeting utilities, oil & gas, construction, and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Strategy & Sales Growth
Develop and execute business development strategies to expand market share in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman.
Identify and target key clients (utilities like DEWA/ADDC/SEWA, EPC contractors, oil & gas firms, industrial plants).
Promote LV/MV/HV switchgear, panel boards, RMU, ATS, and other electrical distribution products.
Achieve annual sales targets and build a strong pipeline of projects.
2. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Build relationships with consultants, contractors, and government entities (e.g., ADNOC, Aramco, Qatar Petroleum, DEWA).
Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and negotiations with clients.
Attend industry events (Middle East Energy, ADIPEC, BIG 5 Dubai) to generate leads.
3. Technical Sales & Tender Management
Understand switchgear specifications (IEC, ANSI, BS standards) and advise clients on product suitability.
Review tender documents (from utilities, EPCs) and prepare competitive bids.
Collaborate with engineering & production teams to customize solutions as per client needs.
4. Competitor Analysis & Pricing Strategy
Monitor competitor products, pricing, and market trends in GCC.
Recommend pricing strategies to enhance competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
Required Skills & Experience:
Electrical Engineering degree (mandatory) Knowledge of switchgear design, protection systems, and electrical distribution networks.
5+ years in business development/sales in a switchgear manufacturing company or electrical products distributor (GCC experience required).
Strong network with EPC contractors, utilities, and industrial clients in UAE/GCC.
Technical sales expertise Ability to explain switchgear specifications, fault ratings, breaking capacity, etc.
Fluent in English (Arabic is a strong advantage).
Willingness to travel across GCC for client meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA in Sales/Marketing (not mandatory but a plus).
Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot).
Knowledge of UAE/GCC electrical regulations & standards (DEWA, ADDC, SASO, QCS).
