Job description

Job Purpose

Lead and perform instrumentation maintenance work teams and Man-Machine Interface System (MMIS) activities to ensure timely completion of tasks with quality, achieving operational readiness and maintaining the highest safety and reliability standards. Review maintenance work packages and documentation to improve quality. Support the Quality Assurance (QA) process, adhere to regulatory requirements, operating policies, nuclear safety standards, industrial safety, and environmental protection to meet business objectives.

Key Activities, Responsibilities & Accountability
Instrumentation MMIS Maintenance
  • Lead and perform instrumentation maintenance activities and surveillances on MMIS systems for safe and reliable plant operation.
  • Review work packages for operation and outage maintenance to enhance system availability.
  • Manage service contracts and contractors to ensure best maintenance practices.
  • Review outage plans and schedules for process understanding.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, securing critical spares for system operability.
  • Update maintenance and surveillance procedures to ensure safety.
  • Incorporate equipment data into the Operation Management System (OMS) for better knowledge management.
  • Implement foreign material exclusion (FME) programs to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Support Corrective Action Program (CAP) activities and analyze deficiencies.
  • Conduct self-assessments for continuous improvement.
  • Execute troubleshooting on MMIS systems to resolve issues promptly.
  • Attend pre- and post-maintenance briefings, overseeing teams to ensure standards compliance.
  • Follow maintenance safety procedures and document equipment history.
  • Manage work clearances as required.
Quality Assurance
  • Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards, complying with QA programs.
  • Oversee contractor activities for MMIS maintenance.
  • Engage in continuous learning of industry best practices.
  • Address quality issues and deficiencies with management support.
  • Collaborate with QA, FANR, WANO, and INPO to adopt best practices.
Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support
  • Support outage and emergency response activities as needed, including shift work.
Staff Training and Qualification
  • Implement management expectations for maintenance conduct, ensuring safety and reliability.
  • Coach maintenance staff for improved performance.
  • Provide feedback on training effectiveness to enhance qualification programs.
