Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all air-conditioning and refrigeration units following Southern Sun policies, the Health & Safety Act, and other relevant legislation.
• Install, repair, and maintain cooling equipment with advanced knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, mechanical skills, and troubleshooting expertise.
• Perform brazing and soldering tasks.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Monitor equipment performance, compile reports, and maintain records.
• Work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality standards.

Qualifications

• ITI or full-term diploma in Mechanical Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• Minimum of three years' practical experience with centralized air-conditioning chillers, air handling units, split units, fan coils, walk-in chillers & freezers, ice makers, etc.
• Previous experience as a refrigeration technician is advantageous.
• Experience in a hospitality environment is preferred.
