Wood is recruiting for a Principal Piping Engineer to join its UAE Business Unit in Sharjah, UAE. The role involves planning, budgeting, organizing, and controlling piping engineering deliverables for the project.

This is a residential position with possible travel to Iraq for business trips as required.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal Piping Engineer to contribute to our UAE operations.

Wood has been awarded an onshore brownfield project supporting an international client, focusing on FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. The project aims to enhance degassing stations, optimize flare systems, and integrate low-carbon solutions to support energy transition and emissions reduction.

Key Objectives

  • Take responsibility for assigned piping work scopes.
  • Plan, budget, organize, and control piping deliverables.
  • Prepare deliverables conforming to codes, standards, and client policies.
  • Ensure quality and schedule adherence.
  • Provide technical guidance on piping queries.
  • Coordinate with client’s engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.
  • Promote safety at all times.
  • Offer technical solutions to engineering problems.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines during all project phases.
  • Assist in piping design activities.
  • Identify and address progress or quality concerns.

QUALIFICATIONS
