Job description

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer Infrastructure to join our team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our infrastructure projects division you will be responsible for overseeing largescale infrastructure projects ensuring they are completed to the highest standards of quality safety and efficiency.

• Supervise and coordinate all onsite construction activities ensuring compliance with project plans specifications and contract documents
• Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports on work force equipment safety and overall project status
• Conduct regular inspections of workmanship and materials to maintain quality control standards
• Coordinate with clients contractors and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project goals are met
• Review and approve shop drawings material submittals and change orders
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
• Oversee soil and materials testing according to contract specifications and local regulations
• Evaluate and process progress payments variation orders and time extension requests
• Implement and monitor site safety protocols ensuring compliance with local and international standards
• Prepare comprehensive monthly reports detailing project progress challenges and solutions
• Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement strategies for improving project efficiency and costeffectiveness

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Masters degree preferred
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent professional certification
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in infrastructure engineering with a focus on managing largescale projects
• Proven track record in overseeing complex infrastructure projects including bridges and underpasses
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure development construction methodologies and quality control processes
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards regulations and local building codes
• Excellent project management skills including budget and schedule management
• Advanced problemsolving and analytical abilities
• Strong technical report writing and communication skills
• Proficiency in project management software and CAD applications
• Experience working on infrastructure projects in the Middle East
• Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Willingness to work onsite and travel as required for project needs
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering highquality results
