Job Description

The ESG & Sustainability Specialist will be responsible for driving the company's sustainability strategy, ensuring continuous improvement in environmental and social performance, and ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental laws and regulations. The role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring sustainability programs and policies, as well as preparing and issuing sustainability reports aligned with global standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Development and Implementation of Sustainability Strategy: Lead the development of a comprehensive sustainability strategy for the organization, ensuring it aligns with both corporate goals and industry best practices.
• Sustainability and ESG Reporting: Lead the preparation and issuance of sustainability and ESG reports in compliance with global standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and other relevant industry standards for oil and gas.
• Sustainability and Environmental Data Management: Consolidate all sustainability-related data ensuring all historical data is organized and easily accessible for reporting and strategic planning purposes.
• Performance Metrics: Develop and implement metrics to track the company's year-on-year sustainability improvements, ensuring a clear path to meeting sustainability targets.
• Regulatory Compliance: Continuously review and ensure compliance with relevant environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Project Monitoring and Scheduling: Monitor and review the progression of sustainability-related projects, ensuring they are on schedule and progressing effectively.
• Environmental Review and Project Support: Participate in the review of company projects from an environmental and sustainability perspective.

Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in chemical, petroleum, or environmental engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in sustainability or ESG roles within the oil and gas industry.
