Job Title: Design Manager

Job Description

As a Design Manager, you should have experience as a Lead Architect, specializing in designing public and private buildings, homes, commercial sites, and industrial structures. Your role involves engaging with clients regarding budgets, structural specifications, and contracts. You will create detailed building plans that incorporate systems for electricity, climate control, plumbing, ventilation, and communications. Additionally, you will lead and mentor other architectural, engineering, and construction professionals.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Lead and develop the design team, fostering growth and creativity.
2. Oversee design projects from initial concept to completion, ensuring high-quality standards.
3. Manage budgets and timelines for efficient project delivery.
4. Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders and management, effectively communicating your vision.
5. Ensure design deliverables comply with applicable Codes & Standards.
6. Set strategic directions and goals for the design team, promoting collaboration and innovation.
7. Lead multidisciplinary design teams, providing strategic guidance for each segment.
8. Ensure smooth design processes and timely delivery of projects.
9. Contribute innovative ideas to enhance department productivity.
10. Oversee project assignments, balancing workloads among team members.
11. Direct team members in utilizing BIM tools for design production.
12. Develop and implement the company's design strategy, leveraging knowledge of design principles, construction, engineering, and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent; Master’s in architectural-related subjects is preferred.
• Higher qualifications or certifications in project management or leadership are advantageous.
• Proficient in design software such as Revit (basic knowledge), Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project, and MS BI Pro.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating successful design projects is recommended.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Architectural Design on live projects.
