A leading financial services firm in Dubai seeks a Financial Analyst to conduct detailed financial analysis and reporting. The role involves preparing financial forecasts, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting strategic decision-making. Ideal candidates will have a finance degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel are essential for success in this role.
Job Purpose:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for conducting detailed financial analysis, market research, and financial reporting to support strategic decision-making within AUS Global Financial Services LLC. The role includes preparing financial forecasts, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring reporting in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the regulatory requirements of the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
Assist in the preparation of the firm’s quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with SCA and IFRS standards.
Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators and variances from budget or forecasts.
Prepare financial data and insights for management presentations and regulatory submissions.
Support the external audit process by preparing and providing necessary financial documentation.
Market Research & Financial Modelling:
Conduct in-depth research and analysis of local and global financial markets, instruments, and trading data.
Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, pricing strategies, and financial risk assessment.
Analyze market trends, competitors, and economic data to assess investment opportunities and financial risks.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of the company’s annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
Track actual performance against budget and forecasts and prepare variance analysis reports.
Work with department heads to gather financial data and provide recommendations for cost control and profitability improvement.
Regulatory & Compliance:
Ensure all financial reporting complies with applicable SCA regulations and internal financial policies.
Coordinate with Compliance and Risk functions to monitor capital adequacy, financial ratios, and liquidity thresholds required by the regulator.
Prepare financial data and documentation for regulatory filings and assist in submitting SCA reports as required.
Risk & Financial Control:
Assist in financial risk assessment by identifying potential financial exposures and recommending risk mitigation measures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with internal control policies.
Support the monitoring of the firm’s financial exposure and capital adequacy.
Training & Development:
Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs to stay updated with changes in financial markets, regulations, and reporting standards.
Attend internal and external workshops, seminars, or SCA regulatory briefings as required.
Support the development of financial awareness training sessions for non-finance staff where necessary.
Maintain relevant professional certifications and pursue additional qualifications if recommended by management (e.g., CFA, CPA, or equivalent).
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of financial analysis experience in financial markets, investment firms, or regulated financial institutions.
CISI Certificates MUST (UAE rules and regulations &wealth and investment management)
Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulatory environment and SCA reporting requirements.
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with financial analysis tools is a plus.
