Job Description:

Senior Sustainability & Environmental Specialist

Location: Dubai, UAE

Parsons is seeking a talented Senior Sustainability & Environmental Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to sustainability and environmental strategies for delivering high-quality infrastructure and masterplan projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Participate in multidisciplinary project teams, managing complex projects requiring sustainability input and environmental compliance from conception to completion.
• Manage and present to clients during design workshops and meetings.
• Develop sustainability, environmental, and waste management strategies tailored to each project's aspirations and requirements.
• Propose innovative solutions and alternative ideas aligned with each project's vision.
• Prepare technical reports and studies for sustainability certification and environmental documentation.
• Develop RFPs to select suitable sub-consultants, assess their deliverables, and ensure quality.
• Mentor and review the work of junior team members.
• Contribute to the bidding process to secure new projects.
• Work independently using initiative, with support when necessary.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in architecture, engineering, planning, or related sciences.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in international engineering, design, project management, or sustainability consultancy.
• Understanding of microclimate and outdoor thermal comfort solutions; simulation skills are a plus.
• Certifications such as Estidama PCRS PQP, LEED AP, BREEAM AP (additional credentials are a plus).
• Knowledge of current trends in sustainability and implementation strategies.
• Experience coordinating with diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve sustainability objectives.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills in English.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Master’s or PhD in architecture, engineering, planning, or related sciences.
• Experience preparing third-party sustainability certification applications (e.g., LEED, Estidama).
• Knowledge of PAS 2080 and GHG emissions calculations.
• Familiarity with outdoor thermal comfort principles and analysis software.
